HOW IT WORKS

The ADES Process

ADES combines particle acceleration with molten salt reactor to create a water-free, thorium-powered energy solution. This breakthrough technology delivers safe, efficient, and carbon-neutral power through a multi-stage process:

Transmutation through particle accelerators

The injector is a particle accelerator that transmutes thorium-232 into uranium-233. This process initiates energy production and ensures that the reaction proceeds in a controlled and safe manner.

Energy release in the circulation

In the molten salt cycle, uranium-233 splits, releasing enormous amounts of energy, reaching temperatures of up to 900°C. This high temperature is essential for the subsequent steps of energy conversion.

Efficient heat transfer

Heat exchangers on the first and second levels transfer the generated energy either for electricity generation or for hydrogen production. This efficient heat transfer enables a wide range of uses for the generated energy.

Reliable power production

In the tertiary cycle, the transferred heat is used to drive a turbine to generate electricity. This process continuously delivers reliable and CO2-neutral electrical energy.
